Office Policies

Annual Administrative Fee for Non-Covered Services:

$50 per patient; maximum $200 per family of four or more patients

Non-covered services are services provided by UCPC that are not covered by insurance. These services often require significant time and attention outside of a scheduled office visit. Examples include:

• Processing medication refill requests without an appointment

• Preparing medical letters (e.g., Disabled Parking, FMLA, dietary accommodations, vaccination records or exemptions)

• Coordinating care with specialists, emergency providers, pharmacies, labs, or imaging centers following a visit

• Case management for complex medical or behavioral concerns involving communication with caregivers, schools, or mental health professionals

• Reviewing medical literature for complex conditions

• Communicating with insurance companies or HR departments regarding eligibility or billing matters

• Resubmitting or appealing denied insurance claims

• Additional time spent on patient care outside of visits, as needed
